Stanley R. Bognatz, P.E.

Stan has over 20 years of Rotating Machinery analysis experience in power generation, petrochemical, pulp/paper, and wastewater facilities. Prior to founding M&B Engineered Solutions, he managed and staffed GE / Bently Nevada’s Machinery Diagnostic Services (MDS) and Asset Care teams for almost 20 years. He specializes in critical rotating machinery analysis & inspection, balancing of large turbo-machinery trains, modal analysis, optical & laser alignment, predictive maintenance, oil analysis and thermography. Stan has authored & presented many technical papers, covering topics such as diagnostic techniques, optical alignment, condition monitoring systems integration, and lube oil analysis. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University in 1985. He has studied at Villanova University, and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Business Administration & Finance from Wilkes University. He is a registered Professional Engineer (mechanical) and a Surveyor-In-Training in the State of Pennsylvania. Stan is Six Sigma Green Belt certified, having performed customer-based reliability improvement projects. He is also a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Vibration Institute, and the Society for Manufacturing and Reliability Professionals

Timothy S. Irwin, P.E.

Tim has over 20 years of experience in performing maintenance and diagnostics on Rotating Machinery. He has worked as both a Customer and a Customer Service Engineer regarding all aspects of maintaining Rotating Machinery Reliability and Performance. His experience with Siemens as a Turbine Generator Field Engineer, with Seminole Electric as a Mechanical Engineer for a large fossil powerhouse, and with GE / Bently Nevada as a Machinery Diagnostic Engineer, has provided a very well rounded background in small to large rotating equipment. He specializes in Vibration Diagnostics, Predictive Maintenance Program support, and Machinery Inspections and Refurbishment work scope development.  Tim is Six Sigma Green Belt certified and has performed internal and customer oriented projects. Tim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1985. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida. He is also a member of the Vibration Institute, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and Society for Manufacturing and Reliability Professionals.

Mark Jordan, P.E.

Mark has extensive industrial rotating equipment experience in numerous Petrochemical and Power Generation plants from the Americas to the Middle East. He is fully conversant in the areas of Turbo Machinery Failure Analysis, Vibration Diagnostics, Balancing, Alignment and Rotor Modeling methodologies. He has authored and presented several technical papers relating to malfunction behaviors for the Vibration Institute and EPRI. As a twenty year veteran of Bently Nevada’s Machinery Diagnostic Services (MDS) group, Mark possesses the ability to accurately solve the most complex rotating equipment vibration problems. He earned an Associate in Applied Science in Electrical Engineering Technology in 1984, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) in 1989 from the University of Nevada-Reno. He is a registered Professional Engineer and a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

Todd J. Cottano

Todd has over ten years of practical industrial machinery field experience in Vibration Diagnostics, Multi-Plane Balancing, Plant Asset Management and Predictive Maintenance (PdM). Following a successful career in the industrial pump sector, Todd spent eight years with Bently Nevada’s Machinery Diagnostic Services (MDS) group as a Machinery Diagnostics Consultant and a Mechanical Team Leader. At IMD, he focuses on designing Machinery Asset Care, Predictive Maintenance (PdM) and System Optimization programs for increased plant efficiency for our expanding customer base. Todd also manages IMD’s Technical Training Department, which provides for the unique creation of custom customer seminars that focus on specific machinery types that are contained in the customer’s plant. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) degree in 1992 from Louisiana State University–Baton Rouge, and is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

   

Tim McGinley, P.E.

Tim has over twenty years of experience in the industrial machinery instrumentation, monitoring, diagnostic, combustion tuning and control fields. He has extensive experience in steam and gas turbine machinery behavior and failure analyses. He has worked extensively in the Americas, Mid-East and Southern Asia while employed by Bently Nevada Corporation’s Machinery Diagnostic Services (MDS) group, General Electric, and Reliant Energy Field Services. He has moderated vibration related discussion groups and presented technical papers at several A.S.M.E. and I.S.A. functions as well as Vibration Institute meetings. Tim holds an Associate of Applied Science in Electronic Technology and Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from the University of Nevada-Reno. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Science in Finance degree. Tim is a registered Professional Engineer and is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

   

William Ainley

Bill brings a tremendous knowledge base of rotating equipment vibration instrumentation that spans twenty years. He is well versed in all technical aspects of rotating equipment instrumentation and monitoring systems, and specializes in high quality instrument installations and system integration techniques. He also has in-depth experience in dynamic machinery fault behavior and machinery alignment methodologies. He is a graduate from Manchester Polytechnic in the United Kingdom with a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.
